SESSION CLASSES (Begin 9/7)
THEATER*MUSIC*DANCE
(For our new Early Childhood Class "Create & Learn," Arts-Based learning for ages 3 &  4,
please see our Workshop Page.  Classes that are filled are marked "CLOSED.")
SESSION CLASSES are seventeen weeks in length.
*  SESSION ONE September 7th through January 16th
*  SESSION TWO January 18th through May 15th

Session classs are for the more serious and committed student who desires a more long-term skill building process.  There are two performances per session.
*  Our new CONSERVATORY CLASS (Level 3) is for the more advanced level student with a high commitment to their development.  There are more performance opportunities for these classes and are by audition only/director approval.  A strict attendance policy is required for this class.
Session students only are eligible to audition for productions.

*  LEVEL 1 Class Beginners to Intermediate
*  LEVEL 2 Intermediate to Advanced (by Director Approval)
*  LEVEL 3 Advanced/Conservatory (by audition or Director Approval)


THEATER SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Students develop theatrical skills such as the use of their voice, the use of their body on stage, character development, pantomime, improvisation, scene study/analysis and performance skills.  There are two performances per session/more for Conservatory Class.

GROUP VOICE
Every person can sing!  If you can hear, you can match pitch.  It's simply a matter of ear training and skill development.  Our class focuses on the fundamentals of healthy singing which can be achieved in any style.  Our class begins with warm ups to build skills as a group.  Each student receives one-on-one time in this group voice class.  One performance recital per session.  There is a strict class size of eight for Levels 1 and 2 and six for Level 3 Conservatory.  Conservatory students are eligible to compete in the annual NATS Competition.

GROUP PIANO
The most important instrument any student can learn is the piano.  Beginning students develop basic fundamentals and work through beginning repertoire.

DANCE FOR ACTORS
Performers must have three skills to be successful: Acting, Singing and Dancing.  Students build musical theater dance skills in ballet, tap and jazz and build fundamentals that will allow them to dance successfully in musical theater productions.  There is a performance at the end of each session.

*  Students must register for the entire session to participate as a session student.  If you drop the course after the first two classes, you are financially responsible for the entire session tuition payment.
*  There are no refunds on WPA tuition or merchandise.
*  Conservatory/Level 3 Classes are by audition only/director approval.  A strict participation policy is in effect for all Conservatory Students.
*  All of our classes are fun, stimulating as well as child-centered.  All students receive equal attention, opportunities and each every student is a "star" in our program.  Please keep in mind that all students are expected to work hard as well as have fun.  Memorization and some home work is required.  Our program emphasizes fun, self-discipline and team work.
